"Silver and a small amount of copper is placed in a crucible, then covered with another crucible and this assembly is placed in the forge," exlpains Intha. "When ready, some ground charcoal is blended into the molten alloy to prevent solid dross from forming when that mixture is poured out into a terracotta container. The silver obtained is beaten into the desired shapes or engraved with appropriate hammers and tools on an anvil. The silver is flash heated in order to apply the enamel, which has to be done carefully so as not to cover the embossed motifs. The silver is removed and allowed to cool slightly though sometimes we may need to reapply the enamel several times to get a suitably thick layer in the grooves. Then the entire piece is heated again slowly and evenly to smooth out the grooves and burn off excess enamel while the enamel in the grooves is somewhat protected and should smooth out with the underlying glass. The bracelet is rinsed in a tamarind solution before being dried and polished." .925 silver rating.
